lensahn library
The new library building is designed as a central meeting point for the community of Lensahn. With its clear and compact structure, the new two-storey building blends naturally into its surroundings. The shape and colour scheme borrowed from the old town hall and the neighbouring church, allow the building to blend harmoniously into its surroundings. Along the street, a small forecourt is defined by a setback supporting the creation of an address. The large library hall opens up to this forecourt with inviting glass surfaces, running through the entire building and articulating the different garden topography.
