The compact building of the new Karin Dom Children’s Center is located in Varna, Bulgaria. It was positioned in the northwestern part of the site in order to create a sheltered and welcoming forecourt facing the street, giving the center a clear and recognizable address.

At the rear, the building opens onto a spacious green courtyard facing southeast—an ideal place for children to make the most of sunny days.

The interior spaces are designed to be functional and carefully considered, with particular attention paid to achieving a balance between clearly defined areas and spaces that can be used flexibly.

The circulation zones were conceived as places for meeting and interaction, encouraging a sense of community. Generous, horizontally arranged windows create a strong connection with the surrounding natural environment, bringing abundant daylight and the atmosphere of the landscape into the interior.

Profiled façade panels were selected to give the building a contemporary appearance while also enabling a lightweight and economical construction.
